I just purchased Bestiary 4 for Pathfinder for Hero Lab about two weeks ago.
When I went to create a creature with it, I found that the Shadow Creature template appears incorrect. It literally has a pop-up indicating the template is not complete, and does things wrong like applying a Fly speed to creatures with the template, even though the actual template, as printed by Paizo, does not include that. At this point, the file is several years old, yet doesn't seem to have been corrected. Is that normal? |

There are two shadow templates, one comes from the community files and has that message ID tmShdwCrtr while the other looks right and has the ID tmShadow

Yes. Lone Wolf support helped with this one. It turned out that in the "Configure Hero" menu, Bestiary 4 had been accidentally deselected, so none of the creatures or templates from it were appearing. I have customized my default settings according to what I want to allow in my campaign, and somehow that got removed.
Once I checked it again, all was right in the world. |
