I'm trying to use the 'post' BBCode to link to a post that someone else wrote in the same thread. It seems simple, but I get the error below whenever I click on the link that gets generated. Am I missing something obvious?

FWIW, I was able to put in a regular link to the post I wanted to refer to, so I can avoid using the 'post' BBcode at all...

I tried this and it works for me:
Code:
[post=87985]your link here![/post] Can you post an example of a post link you tried that didn't work? |

I think I was just using the wrong value for the post-id; I thought the intent of the tag was to link to a post within the current thread, so I was using the post "count" rather than the post "id".

Yeah, it works between threads, so you need to specify the canonical post number - you can find it by mousing over the "#4" link for the post you want to reference.
Glad this was easily resolved, I was worried about tracking down some horrible bug in vbulletin |
