Especially when it comes to pleasing Hmmm...They get more and more money and expand constantly. Doesn't seem that bad to me. __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 2 Date: Mon, 14 Apr 2003 04:58:57 -0000 From: "Timo Nevalainen" <tneva82@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: Future of Army Builder? > The question I have is: are we willing to put up with some "money- >grubbing" > tactics in order to ensure WH and 40K will be around in 20 years? >Is paying > an extra dollar per miniature worth having a high quality monthly >magazine? Yes and yes. I do not agree with everything GW does but I sure do prefer GW staying in business instead of going bankrupt. __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 3 Date: Mon, 14 Apr 2003 08:24:50 +0100 From: Sebastian Rogers <sebastian.rogers@tikit.com> Subject: GW (OT) Guys Gone way OT but what the hell. I've met and chatted with the 'top' guys at GW. They are all passionate gamers. Ever wondered why BFG is like it is, cause Andy Chambers is into WWII pacific war that's why. Best discussion of WWII rule sets I've had was at Renton (GW HQ) with Priestly and Chambers where we discussed lots of different rule sets from lots of different companies. Sure they make money and even more so there are some uptight nasty sorts in the company (you know who you are gentlemen) but then in any organisation that size there will always be unpleasant characters. Frankly the fact that when running short of acrylic paint (I tend to use Coat d'Arms) I love the fact I can wander into a high street store and buy more at lunch-time. Fact is they are commited gamers trying to make a living.
