Hello everyone
I'm starting a new campaign soon, and I want to play a cheeky little trick on my players. I'm going to be making custom races for them to choose from.. I want them to think they are playing medium size creatures, but in fact are playing small creatures. I would like it so that I can change the size text to say Medium, but they get all the benefits/weapons/stats/etc from small. My players are new enough that I'm hoping they won't notice that their dagger is 1d3 instead of 1d4. I tired copying the Size Category Adjustment, hoping that I could get the timing right to increase the size to medium for the output text, and then revert it back to small before the stats are calculated. But I haven't had much luck with that. Is there a way to just change the text for the size? If not directly, could I do it as described above if I got the timings just right? Any help is appreciated, Thank you, Chimeforest |

I think on the Adjust tab, under Other Adjustments, you can do weapon damage die step, which will increment the weapon's damage by 1 die step per the amount you enter.

Thank you for the advice. It's not quite what I'm looking for though.
I ended up making two identical races, one which is small, but can wield medium weapons. And another which is medium, but has all the benefits of a small character, and can wield small weapons. When I do the reveal, all I'll have to do is switch the races out, and it will say small instead of medium on the character sheet. |
