I added a new hand weapon via the editor. I removed the strength requirement field from the weapon. When viewing the weapon in the armory list, it is greyed out because the character does not meet the strength requirement.
What I think is occurring is the system is looking at the damage type to determine the strength requirement for use and completely ignoring the strength requirement field. I just adjusted the weapon I created to damage die d6 and strength requirement d8 and it allowed me to add the weapon without warning. Is there a way I can repair this function on my end, or do you need to recompile the code to fix this? Thanks! |

This sounds like a bug that needs to be fixed. I'll put this on the todo list.

I don't believe this is a bug. It uses the Weapon Die of the weapon to determine the Minimum Strength, as per Savage Worlds. The Strength Requirement Die is for those weapons that don't use the Strength Die (Like ranged weapons with damage that isn't based on Strength) or weapons where the Strength minimum is different from the Weapon Die. In this case, for melee weapons leave the Weapon Die blank and use the Special Damage field to note the damage (for Ranged it's the Weapon Damage field), and select the Strength Requirement Die desired.
