I am a bit uncertain how the End Session works. Maybe someone has figured it out?
I am running a campaign with 3 players and we play every second week or so. Durring a gaming session there are of course changes to the characters, they gain Karma, buy/sell equipment and so on.. all changed that needs to be persistent. It feels like at the end of every session it would be natural to "End Session" removing the characters from the "Stage" but would they loose all changes and revert back to their original state if I do this? I did it when we tested it out just when HLO when live, but back then they lost their changes. (journal enrties, wounds and equipment). Does it still work like this, or is it safe to "End Session" after concluding a gaming session. Any of you have experience with this? |

So today I asked one of my players to take a back-up of his character.
I made sure to resolve the scene and then I removed the character from stage. The character lost all changes made over previous gaming sessions, reverting back to when the character was added. Ok. So afterwards we replaced the character with the backup character, and we were surprised to see that the backup actions had also lost changes. Now I am not sure how this is supposed to work, so maybe this is working as intended, but it is quite confusing... and it seems troublesome if characters participating in a campaign loose all updates when they leave the stage! |

I had a similiar issue with a pathfinder session on Wednesday evening. I have logged as an error. Could you also please log as well, the more evidence the better.
I cannot recreate this problem when players are not connected, so cannot do any more checks until my game on Wednesday. In the meantime I have asked my players to ensure that they have 2 copies of the characters they are running (1 local with a different file name). |

are you sure your player was looking at their Campain character and not their personal version?
when a character gets added to a Campaign, it creates a new copy that's totally separate and distinct from the version accessible from the player's non-campaign folder (i.e. the regular HLO home screen). the two versions aren't connected in any way, so changes made to one don't effect the other. if a player opens their character from anywhere other than within the Campaign interface, it won't reflect any changes that happened in the campaign-- they're essentially two different characters now.
