The documentation is there and quite adequate, but you really need to go through the introductory material and study the sample files -- the SW walkthrough is quite good once you've messed around a bit. But you really do need to get into the files themselves.

My suggestion is to pick a game you know and love, preferably something with pretty straightforward rules, and go from there. Once you understand how to scripting engine works, its really quite elegantly designed.

All that said, I'm happy to provide what advice I can to anyone who is looking to get started on a project.
