Where there is only a summary from one book, I tend to put a tag on the snippet indicating its source.
When the full article from the expansion book is added to the same topic, I mark the entire topic as being from that expansion book.
(I then remember the convention that a tag on a snippet is a more specific source than a tag on a topic.)
