Altbob: check out your rule book under each charactor it says "May choose items from the Magic Items and Scavenge-pile items up to a total of 50/100points." this means a maximum of 50 (or 100) points where ever they come from.
(otherwise my Wood Elves could take 50/100 pts of both spites and magic items which would sooooo not be nice
