I believe I have it figured out. Might just be something I've overlooked.
I had to manually select the "Units in Roster" tab, and check all the "Use Image" boxes manually. They were not on by default this time. The "Use Default Image" button doesn't seem to do much, other than set which image to use if the other one is checked. It also doesn't stick, so I had to use some generic images for various copies of the same units, rather than use actual pictures of my various units for each unit individually. It seems to be one broad stroke, unless I'm missing something.
Not sure what the "Include Items?" checkbox is for anymore.
