<sigh>

The old AB2 updates mechanism uses a lot of very archaic stuff. When we switched to the new server due to the previous one taking a dive, I barely remembered all of those ancient incantations. To make things more fun, the switch to all the new security under Windows Server 2003 actually breaks quite a few of the old things that worked under Server 2000 - actually, things will still work, except that you have to do them in a completely different way. Which means figuring out what the new way happens to be. :-( You managed to hit one of those issues. With some digging, I discovered what I think should finally be the solution. I did some tests that seem to work, but I'm inside the subnet, so I'm not sure if I'm getting the exact same behavior as someone outside the subnet (i.e. you). Give it another try and let me know if it works this time.
