Actually, mathematically, it would be better to just buy the Advantage: Close Combat (Attack).
So, yeah, when you buy Close Combat, it should only apply to one thing. Unarmed Combat *or* Grab, or a damage effect that doesn't have Range on it.

You can buy multiple copies of the Close Combat skill - it's at the top of the list if you click "Add New Skills" at the bottom of the skills tab.
What the skill applies to is pretty much up to the player - you could take "Close Combat (Unarmed)" and then apply it to your unarmed strike, and then another few Damage attacks which for your character uses his fists. Similarly, I believe you could choose "Ranged Combat (Throwing)" and use it for multiple different types of thrown weapons. Hence, the skill lets you pick multiple attacks to apply it to.
