This month we step beyond the boundaries of civilization and into the wilds beyond. Ultimate Wilderness brings us a new full 20-level class, the shifter, putting animalistic fury into the hands of your player characters. Plus an assortment of archetypes, feat, magic items and spells intended for adventuring beyond the lights of civilization.

Ultimate Wilderness

New Releases
  • Ultimate Wilderness is now available as a new package!
  • Player and GM content from City in the Deep, Chapter 4 of the Ruins of Azlant is now available! The encounter library has been pushed back to the next release, sorry for the delay!

Enhancements &amp Changes
  • The Stunning Barrier and Greater Stunning Barrier spell adjustments have been donated by user, SunderedShadow. Thanks for your contribution!
  • Leshy Warden archetype now disables familiar class features and the plant domain if the familiar is not alive.
  • Gingerbread familiar has now been implemented.

Bug fixes
  • When picking bonus feats, Warpriests now treat their Warpriest level as their Fighter level, and use their Warpriest level instead of their base attack bonus to qualify for feats.
  • Paueliel had a typo in its description.
  • A mole familiar wasn't granting its bonus to its master.
  • The "Exceptional Reach (all)" construct ability was not affecting the general reach.
  • The Pathfinder Unchained Alternate Crafting Rules were not affecting the crafted cost of custom build weapons and armor.
  • Certain Magic Weapon/Armor Materials were causing errors to be thrown when printing gear lists.
  • The Elemental Bastion ability was disabling itself when wearing heavy armor made of mithral.
  • The Ancestral Weapon (Numeria) trait wasn't functioning for weapons made of alchemical silver.
  • The Studied Target ability was not adding a bonus to the Survival skill.
  • The Inquisitor class was not proficient with repeating hand crossbows.
  • For pathfinder society characters, certain archetypes that would replace the bonus feat recieved in leui of the Mount Training class ability were not removing that bonus feat.
  • The Mystic Past Life Samsaran ART was unable to select psychic spellcasting classes.
  • The Ghost Mount of the Ghost Rider archetype wasn't getting some of the default feat/tricks it was entitled to.
  • The Orcish Hornbow couldn't be selected by weapon focus and was determining its proficiency incorrectly.
  • Improved Monster Lore was increasing the benefit of Monster lore more than it should have been.
  • Druid archetypes that grant wild shape at later levels with a different effective level were not moving the various wild shape abilities to their new levels.
  • Leshy Warden archetype was not granting Str and Dex bonuses to leaf leshy familiar.
  • The Rostland Bravo was gaining Dazzling Display at first level.
  • Equipping the "Amulet of the Spirits (battle)" would not immediately show its entries in the "Tracked Resources" table on the in-play tab.
  • Oracles with the Simpleminded curse were applying their Wisdom bonus to DC multiple times to spells with more than 1 spell school/subschool/descriptor once they reached 10th level.

Data File Authoring
  • All content in user files is now assumed to be forbidden for Pathfinder Society characters (you no longer have to specify the Helper.NoPathSoc tag - it is automatically assumed to be present on all things defined in user files). To indicate something which may be taken by a PFS character, check the new "Allowed for Pathfinder Society Characters" checkbox (which adds the Helper.PFSUserOK tag).
  • The procedure ChgFlyMan has been added which replaces the maneuver tag for flying by a given number of steps.
  • Added the KinElement to the fShowWhat tag group. This selects from the kineticist elements.
  • Added EidAllowFm tag group for unchained eidolon subtypes. The presence of these tags on the eidolon subtypes tells Hero Lab which base forms are allowed for each subtype (handled by the procedure EidAllwRac) as well as which subtypes are allowed for each base form (handled by the procedure EidAllwSub).
  • Added Hero.FamHPFull tag. Used by the Protector familiar archetype, it causes the familar's HP to be equal to its master's rather than one-half.
  • Added Hero.NoFamBonus tag. Used by the Gingerbread Familiar ability, applying this tag to the master prevents the normal familiar bonus from being applied (for example +4 to Initiative). Does not prevent the Alertness feat from being applied, which is still handled by the Hero.NoFamAlert tag.
  • Familiars can now apply their bonuses to themselves instead of their master. Apply the tag Hero.FamGetsBon to the main character or the familiar before PreLevel/10000 to have the familiar get the bonus instead of the master. When now implementing a familiar's bonus call the procedure FamilFocus and transition to focus.container when you apply the bonus. See the FamilFocus procedure to details.
  • The tag Helper.MinGrantSp has been added to familiars/companions that grant spells to their master, such as the witch's familiar.
  • Familiars now gain their abilities via class abilities instead of racial abilities. These are bootstraped by the configurable cfgArcFamil which in turn has been added to all familiar "classes." Replacing/modifying familiar abilities now uses the AbReplace and AbModify tag groups instead of their racial equivalents.
  • Setting a creature's CR to -5 will have it display as "CR –" with an XP of 0.
  • Helper.TargNoText has been added. If this is present on a pick that adds text to another thing via a Target tag, text will not be added to the target.
  • HasAbility.Hexes has been added to class helpers and archetypes that grant a hero witch/shamman hexes (such as magus hexcrafter). This is uses in feats that require the hex class feature as a prereq.
