Don't really want to get into this can of worms, and I do really want custom calendars, but player journals would serve to solve one of the most frequently reported problems with RW.
Players who don't use it. A journal that linked into the rest of the revealed realm would inevitably be like any other thing with links. We're curious creatures and we like following links. This would lead the player(s) to exploring the realm that the GM has put so much time and effort into. Which could not help but to improve everyone's enjoyment of the game.
So if I was ranking features I wanted first it would definitely be player journals.
