After reading through the release notes it says that you cant create a spellcaster yet. etools treated infusions as spells. So I am guessing I need to wait a bit longer before putting this into HL.
Yes, the Artificer is effectively a spellcaster. Since infusions behave very much like a spontaneous spellcaster (ala Sorcerer), you'll find it easiest to model the Artificer as a spellcaster. In fact, you'll probably be borrowing the Sorcerer or Bard as your starting point to copy from. :-)

While I'm not an expert on the Artificer (I'll have to go and read up on it), this is my best guess. And given that eTools treated infusions as spells, that tends to reinforce my thinking. :-)

One of the things now added to HL is support for arrays. The spellcasting stuff currently uses a very poor mechanism for handling spells when compared to using arrays. We're mapping all of the spellcasting stuff over to the use of arrays right now, which will make creating spellcasters vastly easier. We also need to get array handling added to the editor properly. That's why you'll need to wait just a little longer for the spellcasting class support.

Have you tried adding any non-spellcasters yet? If so, how did it go? How can we improve/streamline/clarify the process?

Thanks for the patience,
Rob
