Live sync isn't a thing in RW. Player view and player edition are different.
As you've discovered for other RW clients to get the updates you have to sync the changes with the cloud and then the player has to sync with the cloud to get those changes. It's really not worth the time during a session.
Just use player view on the TV to show the players what you're telling them about.
