Those weapon definitions are defined in the "COM_5ePack_MM - Templates.user" file, where they got introduced with the Thri-kreen racial variant: Weapons.
If there is an error with them, we can modify the community file for next release but would need to know what you think is broken with them.
As far as you making your own copies for customization, that's really easy with the editor.
