So basically in case you just have one link it should look like this:
(*) do not link
( ) Aid
So "avoid" setting works even when there is only a single link.
As this is surely not the best behaviour for all topics it would require another flag / setting like ""avoid & never default"
I would like it and use it once or twice.
But for what it's worth: set it to "never" , in the odd case you want to link to those spells you'll do it manually or reset the setting to normal until all topics are linked up. Might be fastest?
