That is why I said to make a backup of your inventory first - and make sure you
store it in a different directory.

In the Inventory manager, choose "Save inventory XML file". Save it somewhere
else (preferably some form of removable media in case your drive is going bad).
Then replace the directory and then select "Load inventory XML file" to read it
back in. We certainly don't want anything to happen to your inventory file!
