Since proxies are handled as a standard custom extension, CV uses the saved
deck as the information source for printing proxies. When we designed CV,
the exact artwork didn't seem important to the creation of a deck, so no
artwork-related information is actually saved in the deck. That's why
there's no artist name available.
If this is really important to add, we could do so. We've been working on
mapping out what will/won't make it into CV 1.6, and we COULD add this to
the list. The gotcha is that we've already got a bunch of stuff planned and
a tight timeline in which to get it done, so it would likely force us to
drop something else in exchange.
If you feel this is really important, please say so and we can look into
adding the artist info to saved decks/proxies instead of something else in
V1.6. Otherwise, we'll put this on the todo list for a future release.
