I'd rather use the Cloud, which was paid for... especially since that is what it's designed for. That said, we've not played for three weeks and I've done a lot of preparation for the game, all of it on the desktop (that stays at home), and will need it on the laptop for Saturday.

When I did my bug report, it said I would receive a confirmation email within 15 minutes, and to be sure my email was correct.
It was submitted last night, and I still don't have the confirmation in either inbox or spam folder.
The email address was definitely correct, on the bug submission.

Ultimately, it's better of I can sync between the cloud, and use that to transfer the information between devices.
But if there's a work about, for when the cloud isn't working, as long as it works...
