Yes, that's right. V2.2 has finally been released. It actually was
available on Friday if you went looking for it, but we were in the middle
of migrating to a new ISP at the time. I held off on announcing the release
until I was sure users wouldn't encounter any problems due to the
migration. The new release was published to the automatic update mechanism
last night, and it's now ready for public consumption!

PLEASE NOTE!!
This new version is a FREE update for anyone with a V2.x license
(registered OR CD). Simply download the new version and install it OVER
your current version, accepting all the defaults.

The new version includes some powerful new enhancements for data file
authors that will be taken advantage of shortly. We've also added some
really nice stuff that users have been clamoring for. For example, you can
now add watermarks in the background on your roster printouts (i.e. custom
images in the background). You can change the graphical look of Army
Builder using new "skin" support. And users can now integrate custom roster
output directly into Army Builder. All of these new features, and a whole
lot more, are identified in the release notes installed with V2.2 (in the
file readme.txt). They are also fully documented in the User Manual (or on
the web-site for details on creating your own skins.

Along with the new release, the web-site has been re-structured and
enhanced. We've added a new "Cool Extras" section, including extensions to
AB, an image that you can use on your web-site to link to Army Builder, and
a special URL you can use to let users download AB directly from your
web-site (and always get the LATEST version). The extensions will be
growing over time as they are created. I even have a Windows CE roster
viewer that a user created! Sweet!!! It should be up in the next few days.
There are numerous other additions to the site, plus more still to come.
Take few minutes to browse the new site and let us know what you think!

Well, that about covers it. Have fun with this new version, tell your
friends (and opponents) about Army Builder, and thanks for everyone's
continued support! :-)

Thanks, Rob

P.S. If anyone has sent email in the past week or so, I'll be playing
catch-up over the next day or two. Getting V2.2 out the door has been a lot
of work, so please accept my apologies for delays in responding, and thanks
for your patience. :-)
