As your speed goes up so does the penalty for armor. See these two rules entries: (links go to AoN)
Bonuses to Speed: Always apply any modifiers to a character’s speed before adjusting the character’s speed based on armor or encumbrance, and remember that multiple bonuses of the same type to a character’s speed don’t stack.

Armor and Encumbrance for Other Base Speeds. This is a table with the speed reduction amounts for speeds from 5 to 120.
(Core Rulebook, p. 170)
According to the chart, when your modified speed is 70 your reduced speed is 50; for 80 it's 55.
