So you don't want a "disp" that allows print-only units, you want a "disp"
that completely hides the unit from the user. It that correct?

That's an interesting idea. I *CAN* envision a few uses...

I considered adding that ability to "disp" when I first implemented it, but
it was a fair bit of work to do that and I couldn't think of a good way
that anyone could put it to use. So I dropped...
