Auto update and manual both stop at about the half way point. Other then deleting and reinstalling (then jumping through the license hoops), is there anything else I need to try?

Ran into this problem myself. I simply deleted the old rosters and made new ones, then printed them. You should do that, then update your files. the updated files have all the errata and bug fixes.
