They are VTT's that use the licensed data for rules reference. I'd say one of DDB's primary utilities is rules reference. There's obvious overlap.

But fair enough, there's not currently another...

That is not correct. Fantasy Grounds and Roll20 both sell electronic versions of the Players' Handbook, adventures, etc. They are absolutely not just using the SRD. DDB does have the right to call...

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree about the quality of DDB. I find it to be a stellar rules reference, and a great way to make a character. Though I'll agree it doesn't have campaign...
