My empathnid should be able to level above 10

Herolab won't let me increase the level of my creature companion, an empathnid, above 10. This isn't right. According to the creature companion rules:

Creature companions?

I can't seem to find a way to buy a creature companion within Hero Lab. I do have the Alien Archive 3 expansion. Is there a way to do this that I'm missing?

My mistake, I was getting a -2 from not having engineering tools which cancelled out with my racial bonus.

Ysoki should have engineering bonus? Doesn't?

I just made a Ysoki character, which according to CRB should have racial bonuses to engineering, stealth, and survival. I am getting the other two but not the engineering bonus.
