Combat Style

I am trying to create something similar to the ranger combat style or the bonus feat selection of the monk.

I looked at the ranger combat style custom ability, but cannot figure out where the feats for them are dictated at.

The ones from the core rulebook have a different system than the more recent ones - copy something more recent, and see if that's simpler to understand. If we had them to do over, we'd update the core rulebook ones to use the new system.

Also, when you say "ranger combat style custom ability", you're not referring to an item called "Ranger Combat Style", which is what grants a Slayer the choice of a combat style? You mean you were looking at one of the individual combat styles, like "Archery Style" or "Two-weapon fighting style", right (although as I said - don't look at those two examples - look at a more recent one)?

Yes, I was looking at the core Ranger combat styles to try to duplicate. What class or ability are you referring to that should I be looking at?

In the APG, they added "Combat Style (Crossbow)" and "Combat Style (Mounted)", and several others. In Inner Sea Combat, they added many deity-specific combat styles, like "Combat Style (Desna)".

Thank you got that figured out. Now I need to know how to assign specific weapon proficiencies based of of choosing said combat style.

I tried using the "Proficiencies in Specific" section, but that seems to not be working.
