Merging content of user files

I've looked around the forums, but I can't find a description of how you move the content from file A to file B. From what I gather is that there should be a way, but it isn't obvious to me. Can someone please fill me in?

user files are just text files you can open them in a text editor, copy all the things from one and paste it into the other. Just make sure you don't copy the <document></document> tags from the one and you paste the content inside those in the other.

And if your not use to working with XML I recommend making a backup of both files BEFORE making changes. If you copy/paste wrong the file will no longer load in HL or in the editor.

That's far easier than I suspected. Thanks for the tipps!

Yeah, its sometimes easier to address some problems just getting in and editing the text files directly rather than messing with the editor. As SC notes, its always a good idea to do a backup before you do it, though.
