Version 3.2 of the Mutants & Masterminds 3e data files for Hero Lab is now available
 
A new version of the Mutants & Masterminds Third Edition dataset is now available from the automatic update mechanism within Hero Lab.

This version adds content from the Power Profiles sourcebook. These new pre-constructed sample powers make use of the new autoadd mechanism in Hero Lab and allow for full customization.

With the release of Power Profiles for M&M 3rd edition, we've made some improvements to how Hero Lab handles powers made up of effects and extras. When you add one of these powers to your M&M3 character, Hero Lab now builds the power for you from those base effects, allowing complete customization of what you added.

For example, adding the Sleep power now adds "Ranged Affliction (fatigued, exhausted, asleep, resisted by fortitude)". If your custom sleep power works a little differently, you can now change those conditions to anything you like, without having to build the power from the ground up!

Here's the complete change list for this update:

New Releases!
  • Material from Power Profiles is now available as a new package.

Enhancements & Changes
  • You can now track fatigue conditions on the printed character sheet.
  • Sample powers from the Hero's Handbook have been rebuilt. Now they are pre-built custom versions of their base powers.
  • A new "Powers, Advantages & Weapons" appendix sheet is available. This shows detailed information about the character's powers, advantages & weapons.
  • Area extras now show their Dodge DCs.

Bug Fixes
  • The Dual Size headquarters feature wasn't allowing for miniscule outside size.
  • The Speed Power wasn't being reflected in the character's base movement speed.

Data File Authoring
  • You can now create autoadd items in the editor. This allows for preconstructed custom items that still have full customization capabilities. Powers, headquarters, and vehicles can be created this way.

This is great news, now I will buy the new add on. Now I have to figure out how the autoadd works. It is like bootstrapping, but better.

I was looking at the examples in the editor. Overall it is pretty easy to implement, there are just a few steps within steps to remember. I bet with practice it would be done quickly.
