Then make sure you have enabled Blood of Angels, then the option to add heritages and variant abilities should be on the Background tab once you choose the Aasimar race. It is the two tables just under the Alternate Racial Traits.

Ahh, okay, I didn't realize those came from the Blood of Angels book, I thought they were part of the Advanced Race Guide.

Speaking of Aasimar I may have found a problem with the Purifier Archetype (Aasimar Oracle) from the ARG. When I activate that archetype my the number of first level spells I am able to cast drops by 2 instead of 1 as specified in the Diminished Spellcasting feature of the archetype. Any thoughts? Am I reading something wrong? I have already submitted a bug report on the 11th but have not heard back yet.
