Bugs/Issues

It's amazing how reading the User Manual clears up a lot of issues
one has with software, but I did find a couple of things that I'm
having some problems with that I thought I would share. I am fairly
certain that these are not data file issues, either.

1) Why was the "Load" button done away with from AB 2 to 3? It
seems
odd that I have to select "Create" and then go to File-->Open just
to open an existing roster. No biggie, but it was a little
confusing the second time I opened the program. :)

2) I have two issues with roster printouts:

a) I can't figure out how to keep a unit's details from being split
between two pages. For instance, I have 3 characters in a High
Elves army, the first being an archmange, the second a mage, and the
third a commander. Both wizard's spells are listed completely, as
are their magic items. The commander also has a couple of trinkets,
but instead of everything printing on the same page, the commander's
basic stats and options print at the bottom of page 1 and his
trinket prints at the top of page 2. I don't recall having this
occur in AB 2. Am I smoking crack or just expecting more? :)

b) This one is really odd as I have tinkered with the image size,
but haven't screwed around with the XML other than to figure out
which XML document references the image file. The "little dude"
bitmap (modelcountoutput.bmp in the \product\texture24 folder)
prints out as an annoying black box on my rosters, and I am using a
brand new Epson Stylus that has to date printed everything I've
thrown at it marvelously well, including the musician, champion, and
standard bearer images that are included in the WHFB files. Has
anyone else had this problem?

That's it for issues that I've had, which may or may not be software-
related in reality. Thanks for your time.

There were unforseen issues with adding a 'load' button, which we didn't
discover in time to actually resolve them. :( We do plan to add this
feature in a future update.

I've addressed this, and it should be fixed in the next update. :)

I'd guess you're using Windows 95, 98 or ME? There's an issue with AB on
those systems (the display of the little man should be disabled on
printouts, because it doesn't print properly as you noticed, and should be
replaced with a # character) that we've resolved and will be included in
the next update.

Thanks,

Hmm, how troubling. I just tried printing on an XP/SP2 system and it worked
fine; are you sure you have the most up to date printer drivers for your
printer? Try updating them and see if that helps.

I have the exact same issue with the unit guy bmp with XP SP2. If it helps any the musician and banner icon appear to print reverse image (white image on black box) ?
