Screen Resolution

I loaded AB 3.3 on a new windows 7 computer with a screen resolution of 1920x1080 and when I ran it it gave me an error

Army Builder requires at least 800x550 resolution to run. Refer to your Windows documentation for how to change your monitor's resolution.

To compare I installed AB 3.1 and it ran just fine. So in order to run 3.3 do I need to run it in some sort of compatibility mode or is there something else I am missing?

Nope, it should just run okay I run in 1920x1080 with no alterations or fiddling required.

What video card do you have? if its a new machine have you updated the drivers since getting it?

I run it in 1920x1080 also - there shouldn't be any issues with that. Right-click the Army Builder icon, choose "Properties", and go to the "Compatibility" tab - are any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck them, press OK, and try launching AB again.

I have a Asus GTX 550 TI with the updated driver. So it really doesn't make any sense for it to be the card causing the problem. And I've tried it without anything selected from compatibility and I've tried running it "through" Windows XP and Vista all with the same error.

Do you have a second or third monitor connected anywhere? If so, what screen resolution are they running at?

Right-click the windows desktop and click "Screen Resolution" - what does the "Resolution" droplist say? If you change it, hit OK, then change it back to the correct value, does AB still fail to load?

I only have one monitor plugged in and I have tried every different resolution that is available and they all give the same error.

Axs, can you email me at colen@wolflair.com? I'd like to go into more detail on figuring out the problem here, and email would be best for that. Thanks!
