Sync Finalize Failure -502
 
Hi,

one of my players is getting an error while trying to sync our realm.

The error message reads: "Sync failed with error code: Sync Finalize Failure (-502)"

It still worked last saturday, but in between I´ve uploaded some content and now he´s getting that failure. He has tried to sync three times - yesterday evening, this morning and this evening (no confusion - CET ;-) )

Any ideas, anyone?

If you have not already opened a support ticket, you should do so.

Sync errors are not something the community can help with, usually.

Are you both on the latest version of Realm Works? We fixed a bug in the most recent update that has a similar symptom (players unable to sync with a -502 error code). The version number should pop up on the splash screen when Realm Works is starting up.

Hi Joe,

completely sure, we are all on 1.0.1055.215 - me as GM, who´s still able to sync, and both of my players for this particular realm.

The second player told me an hour ago, that he also isn´t able to sync again, same error code.

Last saturday we three sat together and everyone could sync without any issues...

Could "Delete local preferences" be of any help here?

Might be of importance: The first sync on every new device works...

One of my players contacted you via mail: But in case that anyone else expects this behaviour, this thread could be of interest.

...and to keep you updated: After deleting the local data/realm, a fresh new sync worked.

So there was an error in updating an existing realm.

You might want to make a change to your Realm, sync it, and have the player try to sync again. It would probably help LoneWolf to know whether the issue re-occurs, or not.

I might want to: After updating last evening´s session my players just informed me that syncing worked without any problems!
