Create New Link Keyboard Shortcut

Maybe I missed this when looking through the shortcuts but is there a keyboard shortcut to create a new link from the highlighted text? Having to right click every time is a bit annoying. Thanks.

The design assumption is that manually created link won't be needed all that often, so having a keyboard shortcut didn't seem necessary.

I'm going to take a guess and ask are you are using manual links to leverage nicknames and other similar names for topics? If so, then you should probably be leveraging aliases, since then Realm Works will auto-detect all the different names as belonging to the same topic and hook them up for you.

If that's not what you're using manual links for, please give me some details on how and why you're using them. That will help me better understand what you're trying to accomplish, which will allow me to either point you to a trick you can leverage or understand why we need to add a keyboard shortcut for manual links. :)

I guess what I have been doing is entering in text and then creating links (and topics) with anything that I know will need to be a link manually. Since seeing this I went through the manuals a bit more and have been creating more topics using crtl-q. This has been a lot easier. i do wish that there was the ability to write aliases from the Create New Content Element window though. Thanks for getting back to me. I have been enjoying Realm Works so much but it is a deep program that is going to take a bit of time to learn all it's intricacies.
