Multiple computer license

You've got a thing where if you log in on one system it logs you out of other systems, but you say I can buy an add-on for more simultaneous log-ins. I'm not sure yet if I really need that or not, but I'm willing to pick it up just in case.

But I can't find where to buy it! How do I buy this multi-computer license?

As far as I understand you can't yet. I think its part of a future feature actually. Most likely when they do Pathfinder because many people using Pathfinder own multiple licenses.

Currently for Starfinder you can only have one license which equates to a single device signon.

With the multiple logon licenses, I'd be in a much better position to really start using HLO. Right now, it's mostly a curiosity, with a hope that it will be more useful in the future.

+1 for "please get multi-system logon working sooner than later"

Personally, I would be ok with them only allowing 1 login per account. I have read quite a few comments on these forums of people stealing from LWD by purchasing only one account and multiple licenses for their gaming group.

I do not see a problem with a gm paying for a block of licenses for a group to use it is done in the all the time in the corporate environment.

Yearly Payment $1.00 per month = 84 a year
Two payments a year $1.25 per month = two payments of $49.50 ($99.00 per year)
Three payments per year !.50 per month = three payments of $38.00 ($114 per year)
Four Payments per year $1.75 per month = 4 payments of 32.25 ($129 per year)
Monthly payments $2.00 per month = 12 payments of $12.00 ($144 per year)

the above takes into account that the GM is paying full price for access and a five player group

I don't expect LWD would ever do quarterly, trimester access or month to month access and i doubt they would follow the payment scale i laid out.

Are there any news on this in the meanwhile? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, no thanks. When I invite the group over for a character creation session, I have one player who can take several hours tweaking his character. I have other players who need assistance either with working the program or with various points regarding the rules.

I have at least 3 computers ready to go so I can sit the meticulous player at his own node, sit one of the help-needed players at their own node, and leave one station for players who know what they're doing, and let them speed through it.

If needs be, I have an old clunker I can pull out as a 4th station. Having that capacity saves us a bunch of time on group character creation. We can get done in hours what would otherwise take a week or more (I'd otherwise have to schedule each person on a different day, and work around their work/school schedules).

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat, and limiting HLO to a single login will almost guarantee that you'll have people refusing to buy into it, for a very legitimate reason.

I believe that's fine so long as the licensee (whether or not they're the GM) is the owner and operator of said computers and is allowing members of the group to log into his/her own computers.

I believe the problem is when the licensee allows other members of the group to have access on their own computers (ones that are not owned and operated by the licensee).

Was there an official statement on the multiple login?

It of course would already help to have till then - as a workaround ? - a "You are already logged in on <name of the other one>. Do you want to logout the other instance?" Dialog (and if no it doesnt try to login).

My point on this is that HL is a great product and LW deserves to get paid per user not per 5 users. I have seen plenty of forum and reddit posts that talk about a gaming group pooling money to buy 1 copy and 5 licenses and then share it. That is pirating and only allowing one login would eliminate that.
