Here is the list of portfolios currently ready for release 1.0. Note that the term "completed" does not mean all creatures from that source have been entered. In this case, it means all creatures currently available from those sources have been entered into a stock portfolio.

This is a great idea, and I'm hoping it's still moving forward.

I'd love to contribute but I have no idea where to start learning about adding my own custom/supplementary/homebrew material. :(

Progress is being made, yes, but very slowly. I do have some done, so I could do an early release, but it wouldn't include anything from MM1 (or very little) which I assume is what people would want most.

Currently working on MM1 - Outsiders, which includes modifying the races from the MM1 user file to fit current standards. Once I complete this file, I will probably make the first release (along with the next Community Set release).

What do you mean when you say "stock portfolios"? Would that be like the example characters that they list for prestige classes?

Those could qualify, yes. In this case, it's the monsters from the various monster manuals and other sources that I'm referring to. Currently, there's a very limited choice of creatures that can be pulled in for the Encounter Builder. The stock portfolios will fix that as anything contained within them will be available for it.

I have noticed this issue, yes. I usually have to create an entire sub-folder of portfolios just for random encounters when I DM.

As we are approaching a new release of the community set, I am also preparing the first stock portfolio release. Please note the first one will be very limited, but hey, we gotta start somewhere.

Ok, the first release of the Community Stock Portfolios is prepared to go live. It will have a very small amount of creatures, but we gotta start somewhere. For those of you already subscribed to the d20 Community Set (which is required for this to work anyway), you don't need to do anything more in order to see updates to this as well.

The first release is small, as you can see. Next one should be fuller, and also not take quite so long. There were a lot of changes I was making to how the monster races are created, and I actually changed my mind part way through due to the issues surrounding the core updates. Anyway, please enjoy and if anyone has any comments or concerns about how this is being done, please don't hesitate to contact me either here or via email.

If you notice incorrect behaviors in your portfolio, please report it to the data file authors (you can contact them from the Help menu).

Thank you for the offer, but I'm not quite ready for that yet. I'd like to go through the existing races and update them to a "standard" which is still sort of in flux. Once i have things a little more stable, I'll definitely be looking for help to add missing content (of which there is a lot).

I used the encounter generator to generate a 20th NE Wizard, and it flashed that message when I hit import. I have every source available for d20 enabled

That character is part of the core stock files, I think, but since I have access to them I could modify them for a future release. In the meantime, it looks like you can simply save the portfolio after importing the character and the error goes away. At least, it did for me.

yeah, doesn't seem to affect the character

Minor update to be compatible with v1.20 of the community set. Also added Demon, Babau.
