Hierarchy tree settings not preserved between sessions

Hello all,

Since I uploaded all adventures I planned to take on as Game master and started using the Realm Works as primary tool for adventure planning and system reference, I noticed that the hierarchy tree settings on the left panel is not retained between sessions on same machine.

Every time i open the program i have to issue "Ctrl + -" to collapse everything and then re-open the sections I need. Is this a bug or I should submit a feature in the appropriate forum?

PS: I know I can use article or topic views, but they don't resolve this functional issue.

This is normal. (Look back and you'll find posts about it for years. :)

Indeed my search-fu failed here. :)
I don't think it should be that hard to implement though... will be annoying hyperactive user and log feature request or bump an existing one

bump an existing feature request thread for this. That way, if they want to look at the number of people looking and approving of the feature request they can.

I wouldn't count on this though until after content market and possible web based functionality are in the product.

We've been told it isn't a feasible feature.

Wait, what?! Why? How? I don't even ... What?!?

I don't know why this is not a feasible feature and what challenge they have for not implementing it. If they managed to provide a "sorting" capabilities in the custom Views, the expanded/collapsed setting should not be so hard to do.

If my memory serves me, there is an individual navigation pane for each tab you have open.

And the settings with regard for what tabs are open, what they contain, the position in the topic, etc. are stored locally.

I believe these facts mean that it is difficult (impossible within resources available??) to implement what you ask for.

I am not sure how we get from the first to points to the end result (=not feasible), but then I do not know how the program works "under the hood" or how difficult it is to implement a feature that might look simple on the surface.

I am sure LWD would implement it if it was simple (after all, if it was really simple it would be a "cheap" scrap to throw to the wolves - eh - I mean, the users).

Maybe an option "sections always collapsed for new tab" + check box would help.

After I started importing adventure and setting content and began preparation for the incoming sessions, I believe I figured out the ideas behind the hierarchical view.

It turned out that every tab governs the settings for the hierarchical panel and even if they don't preserve between sessions, the tabs do and I am OK for now. :D
