Under Gear, click +, then "Custom gear". It's just a name and cost, no other rules integration.

It would be cool to be able to fully add custom items sooner rather than later.

In the meantime you can often fake it via adding the effects as custom Temporary Adjustments or Permanent Adjustments (under the Adventuring or Customize tabs respectively).

Looks like LW is only putting release notes in the Primary HLO forum not in each one. So keep on eye THIS forum for future updates that invlove HLO.
