Tutorial on creating races in HL editor?
 

I have some very basic knowledge of creating things like simple weapons in the editor but is there any kind of tutorial that provides some sort of walkthrough in creating a custom race with sub races?

Really the easiest way is to just use the New (Copy) button to look at an existing race or subrace in the Race and Subrace tabs. You can pull up a race similar to what you want to make and see how it's done.
