Tau datafile for 2.0 alpha
 

I edited the Tau datafile to include the Fan built CPF and threw in some extra's like the Hero variant's and the IA3 ships. This was a personnal project to learn AB better and I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I added the files to the user downloads section. Please note that I only edited the Tau.dat & Tau.aug files.

I was looking to add the Fan CPF fleet at some point. And I've already added the IA3 ships, but the big problem with them is that there is no associated Fleet List for them.

I'll have a look at them and see if I can add them to my next version.

Just out of curiousity, did you use the CPF rules that were released on St. Patty's Day (3/17/2006)?

Yes, I also included the Commerce and Exploration fleet.

Unfortunately you seem to have wiped out the other CPF rules from Fanatic 7 that were in the files.
Also, the stats for the ships in the Forum CPF are not the same as the ones presented in IA3.

Yes I wiped out the Fanatic CPF, since it only had the Messenger and the Defender, I didn't see any point in keeping it.

The IA3 stats are available with the standard fleet, I didn't see any point of using the IA3 stats with the forum fleet list.

Well, I just went through and added the Forum CPF fleets and ship stats in addition to the IA3 stats. The IA3 ships will be available in a 'Scenario' game mode that I added since the alpha release, since they don't have an official fleet list. That and the Lar'shi and Il'fannor D'yanoi got added as well.

Sounds good, any timetable on the release?

I've still got a few things to clean up before the release, but I'm hoping real soon.
