Encounter Builder Question

How do I add custom characters to the 'Available Character' list in the Encounter Builder?
I have a custom enemy type that I will be using all the time that I need to add to this list.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

In order to add creatures to the Encounter Builder, you need to save their portfolios as .stock files in the data file directory. After that, you should be able to see them under 'Available Characters'.

Excellent! I'll give that a try...

Thanx!

Hi, dumb question but how do you do that?

Duggan May 27th, 2014 02:49 AM

.stock files are actually the same files as .por, just with a different extension (and, as of a few updates ago, are just ZIP files with XML and HTML data in them). You can either change their names in your favorite file explorer, or change the extension at the time of saving. Just in case it becomes an issue, "Tools/Explore Folders/Game System Data Folder" should take you to the folder where the stock portfolios are saved. Your own portfolios might be in the User Data folder, but you can save them just about anywhere.

Ah, thanks! That's what I was missing, I didn't know you could locate the data folder that way. Also thanks for clarification on the file format.
