this feature is bugged, currently it doesn't "make change" for you. so if you have, say, 15gp 0sp, and choose to buy something for a custom price of 5sp, it returns an error instead of "breaking" one of your gold coins into silver. it only works if you happen to have exact change in the right denominations.

there IS a way to add/subtract money, but it's hard to find and rather clunky. go to the Journal tab and add a journal entry. then click the gear icon on the new journal entry to open it up. from there you can add or subtract cash-- but note that nothing actually gets added until you click the "Add Wealth or XP" button below. also note, if you're using the Demo version you can only have one journal entry at a time (but you can add/subtract cash as often as you want from the same journal entry).

not yet, however the upcoming "Campaigns" feature should allow this and more. a beta version is due to be released by the end of January (although that date is an estimate not a promise, and historically LW tends to overshoot their deadlines, often by months) |
