pdf manual?

Hello, is there an external manual? I haven't had much time at my PC and id like to go over the basics without having to sit in front of the computer.

If you click HELP -> MANUAL in the program's main interface, there is a list of manuals you can view.

When you click the title, it opens up a PDF. You could print that and have your own set of offline docs.

There are PDF files for all the manuals under C:\program files\ realm works.
I forget the name of the folder that they are in but they're easy to find.

Awesome last time I was in RW the manual opened within RW. This will be a lot easier. Thank you.

When was the last time the manual was updated?

Where is the latest manual?

October 2014, according to the metadata in the PDFs.

If you've installed RW, the Guides are in the docs folder under the RW install folder. (Likely "C:\Program Files (x86)\Realm Works\docs".)

You can open them from inside the program by opening a Realm and going to Help/Manual.

Watching some of the videos posted by others like daplunk and ks666 will probably give you a much better feel for things than the manuals. Depends on your learning style of course.

Agreed. IMNSHO the manuals do very little to help you out. I have tried to find answers in them in the past and just get frustated at how unhelpful they are. I end up asking my questions here.

And if you need to do a search of the forum DO NOT use the search feature here. It's worse than the manuals. Go to Google and type:

"search phrase in quotes" "Realm Works Forums" site:forums.wolflair.com

I found the manuals quite useful at the time. I think putting it on in a wiki would have been a good alternative, but I think LWD was reluctant to do so, because nobody volunteer directly on the train to "keep it updated".

For general looks and ideas they are still very good. If you look to resolve a particular problem I would do what ruhar suggested :D

I think Josh and I have covered every existing feature of RW pretty thoroughly in our videos. If watching videos isn't someone's thing then asking here is always a good way to find out how something works. People who know RW intimately always strive to answer every question.
