No plans for D&D 5e?

I don't see anything mentioned about D&D 5e for HLO. Is it not being planned?

That was one of the great things about HLC... Almost every game you could think of has a data set.

Not even close.

HLC only had more due to the community created content if you owned that license. Once HLO also supported custom content, it will be just as good, if not better.

*IF* they support custom content. Nothing in their roadmap even suggests supporting custom content.

That is true, however, it would seem unlikely and ill-advised to alienate 1/3 of the tools usage by not supporting custom content. That said, we will have to see if that happens. I know for me it will largely result in my continued support/usage of the tool. I am staying confident that it will be there though.

LW has said on multiple occasions that custom content (ie .user files) is totally planned.

Based on the importance of the different community packs (especially for 5E) I can't not see them NOT implementing it.

5E support is totally on our roadmap. :)

vardeman June 25th, 2018 07:52 PM

Thank you, BJ. That's good to hear. I hope it will be listed when the promised update to the roadmap is posted. :)

It's going to be really interesting to see how this happens though.
