the vows should cost the double/triple if you take the same vow on two/three knights or am i wrong with this?

Because the cost difference affects VPs and allocation slots and so on, and also because AB doesn't record the order in which items are added to the list, you have to select the Virtue itself then increment the multiplier for the model which took it "second" - whichever one you want that to be.

...Where can I find this multiplier checkbox?

if you click on the vow listed under your hero/lord then you will have the checkbox on the right field
