How do I replace one level of Rage Powers?

I am working on a new Barbarian archetype that replaces the 2nd level (and only the 2nd level) Rage Power choice with an Extraordinary ability.

When I click on "remove class abilities," Rage Power isn't listed. I assume it is treated different than a standard ability because there are multiple sub-choices. How can I remove only this one level of Rage Power? Thanks!

Rage Powers, Rogue Talents, Ninja Talents, etc and dozens of others are called "Custom Abilities" in the editor. As really they all act the same way really.

So on the archetype you are looking a the "modified Custom ability count" section as you wish to modify a custom ability. So press the blue edit button and you get an Array window. Arrays start at zero and go 19 which is 20 values or 20 levels. But levels are one number off so 0 is level 1, 1 is level 2 etc... So in this case you want to put a -1 into array value 1. This tells HL to reduce the custom ability count which is normally 1 by adding -1 for a total of 0. :)

Just the information I needed. Thanks!

I think there is a video on that as well.

One additional question: I am also trying to create an archetype that removes the ranger's favored enemy, favored terrain, and combat styles abilities. I tried using the same technique described above and it didn't work. Are these things not custom abilities also? Thanks.

In the Editor, On the Ranger there are options for doing certain things, like near the bottom there is an option you select that says: Remove Favored Enemies, and just below that is an option to remove favored terrain. Once they are removed, you can add other things in depending on what the archtype does.

Hope this helps.
