Liber Vampyr book

well it seems im out of my league here so i think i will stop while im ahead. That said if anyone has the time and know how, I would love to see this book done for pathfinder. The book is put out by Necromancers of the Northwest as a PDF file only. Good luck all

You may wish to start first with small things like Feats, Spells, traits and build up to Races and Classes which tend to be harder in HL. Templates and Archetypes being even harder.

Start also with just putting everything in as "text" and forget the scripting part right away. Also make sure you have gone over the Glossary of Terms and checked out the Intro Videos in the FAQ#2.

Its very overwhelming at first when you get into using the Editor. It takes time and patience plus being ok with failing allot. Trust me I failed WAY more often then I succeeded at first.

Stick it out and it opens up a really fun and POWERFUL feature of Hero Lab. :)

Karrel,

How far did you get? I seem to remember you posting last year and you had made some progress on it.

they changed the book so i had to start over and now there is a lot more coding needing to be done. i gave it a run until i had to format my computer due to virus at work that got on it. now i have lost it all and time to start over.

I just look a quick look at the pdf and the user file. Yep, there are a lot of updates and looks like it would need a complete re-work of the user file.

yep, and at this point i dont even want to think about that, with the format i now have to rebuild my entire pathfinder game world from memory and in not even looking forward to that. just want to go to sleep and wake up whenthe nukes are hitting the ground. sooo tired

I started working on it. I don't have a time frame, (it is a lot of material), but once I get some of the basic info in, I'll post it here. Once it is done, I'll send it to Shadow if that is cool.

NP, I started out seeing if I could save anything, and well it looks like they changed everything. It's going well, but slow. Once I get the frame work and a few things in I'll post it as a working file.

Working Update

This is what I have so far.

It's just the risen subtype and the Vampire - Revenant template with their abilities. I also kept the old equipment and spells, (but changed the id-tag). They aren't in the new pdf, but they aren't really interfering with anything.

Everything else changed so much, it had to go. I am not sure how much different the nosferatu template is from the core one. So I might do that last if it even needs to be in there.

Anyways, let me know if that is cool so far and if you see any bugs.

Rule Question - Is the Cruomancer Level equal to the Blood Point Pool total? I think it is, but what do yall think.

cruomancer level is only a prerequirment for taking some feats, which btw your cruomancer will gain levels as you gain levels in normal classes (for every two non vamp class level you get one cruomancer level and you get one level for each vamp class level you have). it has nothing to do with the blood points. blood points is based on your classes, it looks like you have the blood points going right. if you need me to do any typing for you let me know.

Ok, they both seems to advance in the same way, (page 15 Blood Source).

"This maximum number of blood points is determined by the source that granted the cruomancer his cruomancer level and blood point pool."

At the moment I have the CL sent to equal the Blood Pool total. If they are two different things, it's an easy fix. It seems to me they are the same, but IDK. It's kind of confusing.

Anyways, let me know if you want them separated. It's no big deal. BTW - working on the feats now. The Ally of the Night, a feat that grants a familiar, is going to be tough, but I have an idea that might work. I attached it here.

Edit - Ok I went and separated the two and re-attached the file. I'll get back to the feats.

dont forget the template revenant uses their wisdom bonus for hp bonuses not there con or chr.
i do like what you have so far.

Hit Dice: Change all racial hit dice to d8s. Class
hit dice are unaffected. As risen undead, a revenant uses its
Wisdom modifier (instead of Constitution or Charisma) to
determine its bonus hit points.
