"Use for Navigation" greyed out. Help pls.
I know I have a learning curve with RW, and I am making progress but after attempting to search here for a solution, I am stumped.
I can not get my smart image of my first map import to allow it to be used for navigation. I sniped it from a pdf, edited it Paint, saved it as .png and pointed the smart image icon at the file. But no luck. "Use for Navigation" works fine with one of the the imported images, but not mine. (Wolfsport Map) Anyone able to give this newb a nudge in the right direction? |

Or rather, here's what I do: 1. Go to the topic with the map snippet we want to fill - maybe a town or region. 2. Click on the map icon in the smart image snippet - the one that looks like a folded piece of paper with green areas and a red cross on it. Now you should see a vast grey area with a windows folder icon in the middle. 3. Click said folder icon. A windows explorer-like file choose gump should open. 4. Navigate to you picture file - the .png file 5. double click it - or single click and then click on the open button. Now you should have your .png as a smart image. You're getting this far, right? Next steps would be to create some pins and associate them with other topics. Other things I could think of worth trying: - make sure you're not in editing mode, that throws RW off some times. Click the eye-icon - reveal the smart image by clicking the grey ball icon on the left, it should turn green - make sure there are pins on the map and that they are associated with other topics. - check if revealing those changes anything - reboot ;) |
Can you show us a screenshot?

It no longer looks exactly like this, but the process of adding is the same:
