How do I download a setting ( Deadlands Noir )

SO I looked at the Settings thread and I guess the Deadlands Noir setting is official and you can get it via the downloader? But I do not see it anywhere and my copy of Herolabs only shows the default under settings. So where is this downloader? How can I download this setting?

The same way you apply and update to HeroLab itself or download any setting or ruleset. From the initial launch screen click the "Find Updates" button in the lower-left corner, if you have Savage Worlds already loaded go to the "View Updates" menu item in the upper-right corner. They are all grouped together in there with "Savage Setting" in front of their name.

I suppose Dartnet should have listed these as being available in the "Updater" rather than in the "downloader", since that's the name of that piece of Hero Lab.

Thanks! The View Updates was the step I was missing. Which companion books do you suggest I use?

Also I noticed the prereqs for arcane background grifter did not match the book. File had req as spirit d8 and book has it as d6

Noir is standalone so the only Companion that goes with it is the Deadlands Noir Companion which is in that same dataset. You might be able to incorporate stuff from the Horror Companion if you really wanted to, but largely I'd suggest running Noir as is since I think it's built pretty well the way it stands. One of my personally favorite settings (although I may be biased being from New Orleans ;)), with only Hell on Earth beating it out for me.

I'll take a look at the date file later and put out an update to fix that. Definitely let me know if you see anything more like that. There's always stuff that gets missed with all the copy/paste and retyping of stuff into a data file.
